The GG&G Standard Aimpoint Ring mount is my favorite mount. It is the most expensive, but the most compact and probably the lightest, with the smallest “footprint.” It also has a water tight spare battery container built in (the screw-cap on the left side -- the cap also is a replacement battery cap for the Comp M2/ML2 itself!). When used on a flat top Ar15/M4/M16 that does not have an attached GG&G FIRE rail or A.R.M.S. sleeve rail (which is most guns out there), you need a spacer. The spacer for the GG&G is a short picatinny rail extension and is not made by GG&G, The pictures here showing the GG&G mounted on a firearm also show the GG&G FIRE rail.
